Introduction
This is the last issue this year and the end of the first year of full production for the CyberColloids Technology Review. We hope you agree that the review has improved over the year and we are very pleased with the number of customers taking the review and the positive feedback we have received. We have placed all the review information and more available on the website for our subscribers but from what we have seen people still prefer to use the traditional magazine format rather than log into a website. In line with this we are looking for ways to improve our production standards and hence your reading experience. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Would you prefer the abstracts in a two column format? What would you like to see articles on? Specific gums or on new technologies? What about a self help forum on the website, post your questions to others in the industry? Whatever your viewpoint we would like to hear from you.
If you have enjoyed this years review we will be posting invoices at the beginning of January. Some highlights in the pipeline for 2003 include a major new series on understanding proteins and hopefully a regular rheology column plus the usual patent and literature reviews.
We are also planning to offer a direct email service where we can alert people to hot news items as well as the latest review postings on the website for people to download. If this would interest you then please send us a list of people you would like on the mail shot list. We don't intend to overload your servers with junk mail, probably only about 1 or 2 interesting and useful postings a month. Of course we do not allow anyone else access to our mailing lists and they remain strictly confidential.
